Quality: disciplinary of the quality
Since the year 2000 the quality system established by Terranostra has become operative, with referral to the series of UNI EN ISO 9000rules, with the purpose of promoting the quality in the associated agricultural farms, granting the authenticity of the agritourism, safeguarding and promoting the patrimony and the cultural and gastronomic traditions of the Italian agricultural farms.
The Terranostra Quality Systemis finalized in satisfying the users’ needs granting them that the services and the products correspond to what is declared and that the places and the receptive structures preserve those distinctive characters that have increased the demand.
Il termine qualità non viene, pertanto, usato in senso comparativo per esprimere un concetto di livello, ma in senso di rispondenza alle caratteristiche dichiarate.
The term quality is not, then, used in a comparative sense to express a concept of level, but in the sense of correspondence to the declared characteristics. What do the farm grant in quality: firstly, the agritouristic farms that have obtained the brand Terranostra possess the requisites foreseen by the laws that rule the activity – agritouristic laws, security rules, hygiene-security rules, environmental rules, etc. (all lack of respect involves the automatic non-inclusion or exclusion from the quality system),
- grant the respect of the welcome style that address the management activity of all the agritouristic farms associated with Terranostra, as described in the paper of " The welcome in the Terranostra agritouristic farms";
- grant the greatest transparency in the communication with the tourists with the use of the reservation confirmation form. With this form the operator supplies precise and detailed information about the services offered, the prices, the ways of payment, how to reach the farm, the agreed type of reservation. The form, fully filled in, must be send to the customer via fax or mail. In the impossibility of sending the form, all information must be given by phone;
- submit to their guests’ assessment, giving them the Customer satisfaction form at the moment of their arrival and inviting them to express valuations and to offer suggestions of any kind.
In the Terranostra Quality Systemthe check of the prerequisites and the stay of the them in the farms in quality is a central function.
This is brought forward by Terranostra through its national, regional and provincial network and through the agritourism final users that are invited, at the end of their stay, to express their judgement, whatever it is.
The form fully filled in must be sent to the national Terranostra, that, on the base of the expressed judgments will activate the verification procedures and the corrective or suspension actions provided in the handbook "Qualità Terranostra" has allowed, up to now, to assign the brand AQ to an even more strict number of farms; on the other way this strictness has promoted both the quality operators, that have had professional and economic advantages, and the users, that in great numbers have expressed positive comments on the received welcome and on the warranties system promoted by Terranostra.
